Vintage WW2 Bundle With PROVENANCE to include one US Navy WW2 M1 Helmet LST-884 with a fixed loop and a high pressure style M1 Helmet liner manufactured by Mine Safety Appliances of Evans City, Pennsylvania, identified by an embossed MSA logo in the crown. Due to the converted Navy paint work it is hard to determine the helmet shell maker. The Helmet shell has a front seem which typically indicates anything before 1944. The exterior helmet designation LST-884 was a Landing Ship Tank assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific during WW2 and aided in the assault of Iwo Jima. This bundle also includes one M25 Inert 40MM Dummy Cartridge for a BOFORS Gun, Dated 1942, Lot No 1 386, MK 1 Mod 3, ALL Original Patina. Both items were used and brought back by Alex H. Bayus “Gunner Ace” from the Bonnie Jean Ship Battle of WW2. Alex H. Bayus worked at Valley Mold in Hubbard Ohio.
